The Program on Health is a new initiative being launched collaboratively between the Refugee Law Center and Partners in Health with the goal of and providing research, medical and anthropoligical/sociological analysis, legal analysis, representation and backup for persons seeking asylum and other forms of immigration status on the basis of their medical condition or the human rights violations they will suffer should they be forcibly removed to another country, particularly for those seeking refugee protection in the United States. The program will offer representation in specific cases, backup and networking. Among other things, the Program on Health will compile country conditions documentation specific to specific health issues for a limited number countries and collects relevant decisions from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, as well as other countries.
